Universal Pressure Test Kit
All Level A suits should be pressure tested when received, after each use, or annually. Proper decontamination and visual inspection for damage and excessive wear and tear must occur before beginning any pressure test procedure.
Pressure test kits are used to test Level A garments per the methods described in ASTM F 1054, “Practice for Pressure Testing of Totally Encapsulated Chemical Protective Suits” and EN464 “Leak-Tightness of Gas-Tight Suits (Internal Pressure Test)”. Typical Applications: All Level A, gas-tight suit applications. Adapters included will fit Pirelli and Auer connections, which includes DuPont, Kappler and Lakeland suits.
Respirator Fit Tester
29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2) states, “The employer shall ensure that an employee using a tight-fitting facepiece respirator is fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least annually thereafter.” Also, an employee who’s passed a fit test but later finds the fit of the respirator unacceptable must be given a reasonable opportunity to select a new facepiece and be retested.
